Tulum Spanish Courses

There are six different Spanish levels, 2 for beginners, 2 for intermediate and 2 for advanced students. On day one students are requested to take a simple placement examination, with duration of no more than 20 minutes, to determine their level of Spanish. Groups are small and with a maximum of 8 students. We also offer private lessons and a mixture of group with private lessons.

The minimum stay is 1 week and there is no minimum age or maximum age. However, students below 16 taking a Spanish course will be placed in a separate group and will receive special teaching material.

As a side note, students from USA, Canada, the UK, the European Union, Japan, South Korea, Brazil, Australia can stay in Mexico as tourists for up to 180 days, which is about 25 weeks.

The description of our language courses follows:

 

STANDARD SPANISH LANGUAGE COURSE

4 hours a day usually from 10am-2pm of Spanish in a small group with maximum 8 students of the same level.

2 hours each week of yoga incuded in the price (optional to take).

INTENSIVE SPANISH LANGUAGE COURSE

6 hours a day usually 10am-2pm and 8am-10am of Spanish in a small group with maximum 8 students of the same level.

2 hours each week of yoga incuded in the price (optional to take).

SUPER INTENSIVE COURSE

4 hours a day of group lessons from 10am-2pm Monday to Friday with students of the same level plus 2 private lessons per day at the time of your choosing.

We recommend this course to students who want to specialice for instance in business or law.

2 hours each week of yoga incuded in the price (optional to take).

PRIVATE LESSONS

One on one lessons, minimum 5 per week.

COMBINED SPANISH COURSE

4 private lessons per day at any time you choose.

2 hours each week of yoga incuded in the price (optional to take).

We recommend students to enroll in the extracurricular afternoon activities offered by the school to take advantage of the Spanish immersion experience.

For each course, we offer the following levels. Each of the 6 levels is completed in about 4 weeks if taking the standard course.

Beginners 1, 2: These are the introductory levels of Spanish. Most Asian students would start with beginners A, since they dont have any previous experience in the language. Students from the US, Canada and Europe, if they start in beginners, would starts in beginners 2. The content of these levels focuses on the different verb tenses, both in regular and irregular form as well as basic conversation topics.

Intermediate 1, 2: Students are introduced to advanced forms of irregular verbs as well as different topics like prepositions, conjunctions, subjunctive, imperfect and more complex tenses. They will be able to follow normal life conversations.

Advanced 1, 2: These levels help students who want to take a Spanish examination like DELE. They include complex topics in conversation, grammar and vocabulary.
